The CWF “Young” Adults Bible Study Retreat will be held once again at Tandara Lutheran Camp in Halls Gap between 16-19 January 2025 with the theme of “Sacred Song – the voice of God’s people”. Please join us as we explore the richness of Lutheran hymnody and liturgy in a stunning part of God’s creation.
Young families are more than welcome to attend the retreat. As Tanadra is shared dormitory-style accommodation, some families would be required to share a dorm, if this does not suit your family we recommend that young families find alternative accommodation off-site. Day tickets are available that cover all meals and teaching sessions.
We will be blessed by three different presenters over the course of the weekend:
- Sandra Rhein – Deaconess and Sacred Music Educator, LCMS Asia
- Rob Rhein – Associate Professor of Music at Bethel University, Indiana
- Rehema Kavugha – Children’s Music Educator, Cantor, & Synod Relations Director for LCEF
The format will be similar to previous retreats with shared meals and a variety of planned and unplanned activities. The first evening will be a casual meal followed by Vespers, then time for games and conversation, providing the opportunity to meet fellow campers in an informal setting, concluding with Compline for those who stay up late. Mornings start with Matins and Bible Study sessions. Afternoons are a dedicated leisure time with options including walks, swimming, ice cream in town, or even taking a nap! Then evenings include dinner, Vespers, more scripture teaching, and then some social time, ending with Compline.
